Privacy policy
We collect what we need to operate your orders, keep your account benefits working, and improve the store. Here is exactly what that means.
What we collect
When you order or sign up we collect contact details (name, email), delivery and billing addresses, your order history, and payment status. Card details are processed entirely by our payment provider, Stripe, and never touch or get stored on Veloura systems. If you take the skin quiz, join the newsletter, or earn rewards points, we store those preferences and balances too.
Site analytics
We use first-party analytics to understand how the store is used: pages viewed, items added to cart, and checkout progress, linked to a randomly generated visitor identifier stored in a cookie. This data stays on our own systems and is used to run the store and improve it.
Advertising and measurement
We use advertising tools from Meta and TikTok to measure whether our ads work. This involves cookies and pixel events in your browser and server-side events from us, which can include identifiers such as a hashed version of your email address. We hash personal details before they are sent for matching. If you are visiting from the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, none of this activates unless you accept the consent banner, and declining keeps all advertising tools off.
Who we share data with
We share data only with providers needed to operate: Stripe for payments, our fulfillment partner to pack and deliver your order (name and delivery address), our email delivery provider to send order and marketing email, the advertising platforms described above, and the infrastructure providers that host the site and database. We do not sell your personal information for money.
Cookies
The cookies we set ourselves are: a visitor identifier for first-party analytics, your advertising consent choice (kept for 6 months), your cart contents, and short-lived tokens that let order status links work securely. Advertising cookies from Meta or TikTok are only set as described in the advertising section.
Email choices
Marketing and reminder emails include a one-click unsubscribe link that works immediately and permanently. Unsubscribing never affects order confirmations, shipping updates, or emails you specifically request such as order status links.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to records we must keep for tax and accounting. Email help@velourahq.com and we will respond promptly. If you are in a region with specific privacy rights such as the EEA, UK, or California, those rights apply and we honor them.
Retention and security
We keep order records for as long as required for tax, accounting, and guarantee purposes, and analytics data only as long as it is useful for operating the store. Access to customer data is limited to store operations, and all traffic to the site is encrypted.
Children
The store is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update this page and adjust the date of the change. Continued use of the site after a change means the updated policy applies.
